If you need a copy of your baptismal record or some other sacramental record (i.e. confirmation record, marriage record), you may request one by following these instructions.
Baptisms take place on the 4th Sunday of the month at 1 p.m. Other times are available upon request.
The responsibilities of parents who present a child for baptism include training the child in the practice of the faith and bringing them up to keep God’s commandments as Jesus taught us, by loving God and our neighbor. The best way to meet these parental responsibilities is by the example of your life including active participation in the life of your parish, especially the Eucharist (Mass), and by practicing love of God and neighbor.
The role of the godparents is to support you in your responsibilities described in the previous paragraph. Godparents should be fully-initiated (Baptism, Confirmation, First Eucharist) Roman Catholics who actively participate in the life of their parish, especially the Eucharist (Mass). One godparent can be a Christian witness. This person should be a baptized Christian in any Christian denomination who is active in his or her church.
Young people in grades 3-10 who are being baptized will also be prepared for First Communion. Preparation and celebration will based on the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults and adapted for each situation.
Young adults (grade 11+) and adults will be prepared for all three Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist) which will be celebrated at the Easter Vigil. Preparation and celebration will be based on the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults and adapted for each situation.
