Our young people were amazing this past week as they served others in Jesus' name at "Just5Days", a mission trip for middle school students. Fifty-two young people and adults representing six parishes from MA and MD spent 5 days reflecting on what it
means to be the Body of Christ as they lived and volunteered in the community of Springfield, MA. We were divided into groups and volunteered exclusively at the Soldiers Home in Holyoke, MA; Christina's House in Springfield, MA; Head Start Programs in Ludlow, MA; Kate's Kitchen and Margaret's Pantry in Holyoke, MA; and the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts in Hatfield, MA. Our Lady of Sorrows served at the Soldiers' Home in Holyoke, MA for the week. It was an incredible experience to watch the young people grow during the week in love, empathy and compassion towards others. May their love and compassion for others continue all the days of their
life and may they continue to be role models and an inspiration for us all.
