Here are some notes from the September 29 PPC and PFC meeting in preparation for the November 3 Parish Consultation. They include points they want to emphasize with the Archdiocese with regard to Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, the Collaborative, and the appointment of a Pastor for the Collaborative.
Please plan to stay at the end of Mass on October 19 and 20 when parish leadership will provide any additional information which may become available between now and then, clarify information we have already shared, and answer questions you may have about our participation in Phase Two of Disciples in Mission.
Representatives of the Archdiocese, from the Clergy Personnel Office and the Office of Pastoral Planning, will meet with Parish Pastoral Councils, Parish Finance Councils and Staffs of the three parishes in our collaborative on Sunday evening, November 3. This is an opportunity for the lay leadership of the parishes to speak with the Archdiocese about the needs of the parishes concerning the appointment of a pastor for the collaborative.
The parish will remember all who have died during the past year at the annual memorial Mass which will be celebrated on Saturday, November 2, at 4:30 p.m. Please click for additional information.
The Parish Pastoral Council, Faith Formation Commission, and Staff are planning to hold a series of Open Houses in the following weeks to help parishioners get to know their neighbors and strengthen our sense of community as a parish. For more information go to House Parties under Parish Life.
